Conserve Energy Without Sacrificing Efficiency
Long-term energy efficiency was an early priority in the planning of the Lane 1919 project. See how we have worked to become champions in the business of conservation.
Environmental Features
- The new tower exterior building walls are equivalent to an R-50 energy efficiency rating (Code= R-19)
- The project’s air conditioning units are the highest efficient models available (13 SEER Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio — Code requires a 10 SEER minimum)
- The entire project utilizes a high-efficiency boiler to provide water-source heating for the office, retail and apartment units
- The apartment units share two high-efficiency gas hot water heaters in lieu of individual electric hot water heaters resulting in significant savings to the apartment users
- The apartments at the southern exposure are equipped with exterior building shades that will reduce the solar heat gain in the apartments. This will increase comfort in the apartments and reduce the cooling needs to maintain comfort
- The project utilizes dual flush water closets in both the office and apartment buildings to reduce water use and the subsequent sanitary sewer fees
